Officially a Neutron Validator
Following Neutron’s mainnet launch and the Cosmos upgrade, Luganodes is pleased to announce that we are one of the Neutron validators and our nodes are live. The launch of Neutron is scheduled to run from the 8th to the 22nd of May. During this time, validators will thoroughly check the chain, ensuring its overall stability and security, while deploying interfaces and setting up relayers to other Cosmos zones.
By becoming a Consumer Chain in the Cosmos economic zone, Neutron offers a new realm of possibilities for both Cosmos delegators and users. With Luganodes, delegators will continue to earn rewards in $ATOM staking, and be given the opportunity to earn additional rewards by participating in the Neutron ecosystem.
Neutron is the first Consumer Chain of the Cosmos protocol. Cosmos Hub, the interchain service provider for the Cosmos ecosystem, has given its approval to Neutron, a blockchain network developed to integrate smart contracts into the Cosmos network using CosmWasm (Cosmos WebAssembly). With several revisions completed, core modules implemented, and successful testnet deployments, Neutron has finally gone live on 10 May.
The move to launch Neutron has taken place in the Atom Economic Zone, and it is based on the approval of proposal #792. Through the IBC protocol, Neutron is designed as a smart contract enabler that will automatically push decentralised applications hosted on it to operate across different public networks. The platform aims to address scalability issues currently facing DeFi platforms by offering a faster, cheaper, and more secure alternative for trading and exchanging digital assets.
In the past, developers building applications on smart contract platforms were limited to a specific set of features and markets, which restricted the potential of their applications. Comparatively, Neutron’s interoperability feature allows developers to leverage feature sets from other blockchains, such as Secret Network and Penumbra for privacy or Sei Network for high speed. This means that by deploying on Neutron, developers can access multiple markets, rather than being constrained to only one.
With advanced capabilities, permissionless smart-contract deployment, an intuitive user interface, and trading tools, Neutron aims to become a leading decentralised finance platform, offering a faster, cheaper, and more secure way to trade and swap cryptocurrencies. Its unique consensus process and advanced features make it an exciting addition to the blockchain-based financial ecosystem.
The collaboration will see an integration of technology from both companies, pairing Luganodes’ enterprise-grade node infrastructure with Neutron’s smart contract expertise. The institutional-level node deployment and transaction validation services will offer global and always-on blockchain connections for any Web3 project building on Neutron so that they can focus on innovations and scaling their applications.
